After the treatment in the abortion clinic

Do you have a question after the treatment?

We can be reached by telephone from Mondays – Thursdays 8:15 am – 16:15 pm and on Fridays from 8:15 am – 12:15 pm.

Outside our opening hours, please contact the GP on duty.

Advice to prevent complications

After the treatment, we will give you some postoperative advice. This advice is intended to keep the risk of complications as low as possible.

What should you do and not do?

For at least two weeks after the treatment, you may not do a number of things to prevent infections:

  • do not have sexual intercourse
  • do not use tampons
  • do not swim or bathe (showering is allowed)

If you have been given medication, you should take it as instructed.

If you have undergone a suction curettage or treatment with the abortion pill, you will receive additional advice.

If you have any further questions or any doubts about your state of health, please do not hesitate to contact our clinic or your own GP.
